FIRST is a US initiative to encourage growth in the STEM disciplines.

STEM students learn the basics of important scientific concepts while learning to apply their own styles for interacting with their peers while working on projects with real-world applicabilitiy.

Namely, such environments as engineering, modelling, and computer simulation are addressed, and through these reinforcers, students in Charleston are learning about the issues today's knowledge worker faces.

By supporting our local FIRST Chapter, NCMA Charleston can contribute to development in these disciplines and apply our interpersonal skills in working with individuals experienced in these disciplines at the expert level.

NCMA Charleston members are encouraged to contact the association, take part in its activities, and forward details of their involvement to attain recognition for their hard work.
